CERTIFICATION ASSESSMENT FOR HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATORS

ECPEMS

We work under an external evaluation agency scheme to support  Educational Institutions, to emit certificates of professional competency for practitioner professors, not as an individual but in terms of a professional profile that should be carried out.

The design of the ECPEMS is unique, with technical support of a National and International Technical Council and the specifications that comply with the requirements of a professional profile, integrated by:

 4 areas:

1. Knowledge of a discipline.
2. Psycho-pedagogical and instructional qualification.
3. Abilities for assessment.
4. Professional qualification.

and 3 dimensions:

1. Abilities.
2. Knowledge.
3. Attitudes.

ECPEMS is offered in an open basis to the Educational Institutions (High Schools), with  experience in evaluation for over 25 years.

The evaluation is carried out by means of objective exams, written tests, portfolio of  observable performance and students' opinion questionnaire.

Requirements for the Institution and for the teacher in order to participate in the ECPEMS.

It is a very simple procedure:

1. The Institution interested in participating in the ECPEMS must sign a contract stating the conditions of implementation, timing and cost as well as logistic, security and confidentiality aspects.
2. ECPEMS' cost is set by the IEIA.
3. If a teacher wants to applicate by himself (not being part of an Institution), he must only register at the ECPEMS' Coordination department or at the IEIA Office, according to the previously schedualed dates of implementation.
